Meet the chef
As a young boy I started out as a dishwasher in a restauraunt that was operating at Michelin star level. I caught a glimpse of how working in the kitchen was and worked as fast as I could in order to help the kitchen team. I worked myself up and was quickly helping with the preperations and plating dishes. This sparked my career.

After finishing high-school I went to culinary school straight away. Continuing to work at the same restaurant (Bolenius) for almost 5 years. After this I went to the well renowned, two Michelin starred, Librije's Zusje Amsterdam. (now called Spectrum) After this I became chef for a year in a brasserie but I missed the fine-dining scene and started working at Juniper&Kin in the QO hotel, the most sustainable hotel of Europe.

Due to the current Covid-19 crisis this hotel has unfortunately closed its doors for now. How sad it might be, it is not gonna stop me from doing what I love doing most. Cooking. I have started 'Thijme voor Thuis' and with these culinary take-away boxes you can easily cook your own fine-dining christmas menu with almost no effort. I've already done the hard bits, the easy ones I left for you! Enjoy from a delicious dinner and support your Zeeburgereiland-local.
